The Oak Shop, Winsford's village shop and post office, is located within The Royal Oak.

​

It combines the best of a traditional store supplying everyday basics and a range of locally sourced fresh produce, including bread and meat specialities.

​

For many years the village shop was located on the Edbrooke Road, but following the owners' retirement in September 2014, The Royal Oak has provided the shop with a home. 

​

During the Coronavirus pandemic of 2020 it became a vital village supply point. 

​

In May 2023 the Post Office stopped supplying its outreach service to the village.
