Stargazing
Exmoor is blessed with little light pollution which leaves beautifully clear night skies - so much so it was declared the first European International Dark Sky Reserve.

The International Space Station can frequently be seen across our skies. For appearances over the next few days see this link
The National Park has a lot of online resources for stargazers, starting at this page. There is also an Astronomers Guide which can be downloaded here. They have also created a Dark Sky discovery trail, a short walk designed for young and old out to Larkbarrow and suitable for seeing the night sky.

Throughout the year there are many stargazing events, culminating in the annual Dark Skies Festival running from October to November. The full schedule consists of over 50 events for everyone from beginners to astrophysicists!
